THE VERKHOVNA RADA OF UKRAINE CONTINUED ITS PLENARY WORK ON WEDNESDAY, 9 APRIL
At the beginning of the morning meeting, Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, expressed his opinion concerning declaration of The Party of Regions Faction as regards creation of a Temporary Ad Hoc Panel in charge of amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine. He evaluated the situation from the legal aspect.
The People´s Deputies introduced their announcements, appeals and declarations.
Olexandr Kupchyshyn, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, reported on conclusion of agreements regarding assignment of Ukrainian troops to Afghanistan.
Yuriy Nedashkovsky, Vice-Minister of Fuel and Energy, reported on conclusion of an agreement regarding purchase of fuel for nuclear power stations.
The People´ Deputies scrutinized the Bill on Amendments to several Legislative Acts of Ukraine (re Licensing of Several Types of Economic Activity), submitted by the President of Ukraine, by a shortened procedure. The Bill was presented by Olexandr Shlapak, First Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the President of Ukraine.
Ksenia Liapina, Vice-Chairman of the Committee on Industrial and Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship, reported on the resolution of the profile Committee concerning further elaboration of the Bill.
The Bill on Amendments to several Legislative Acts of Ukraine (re Licensing of Several Types of Economic Activity) was declined due to the results of the voting.
At the end of the meeting, the agenda was supplemented with the Draft Resolution on Appeal of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the President of Ukraine concerning the Decree of the President of Ukraine on dismissal of S.Stanik from the position of a judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine. Olexandr Lavrynovych, the People´s Deputy of Ukraine, reported on the said Resolution.
The Draft Resolution on Appeal of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the President of Ukraine concerning the Decree of the President of Ukraine on dismissal of S.Stanik from the position of a judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine was adopted in its entirety by 232 votes.
Then the plenary meeting was closed.
